“Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Speak to Aaron and say to him, “When you mount the lamps, the seven lamps will give light in the front of the lampstand.”‘ Aaron therefore did so; he mounted its lamps at the front of the lampstand, just as the Lord had commanded Moses,” cf. Numbers 8:1-3.
The “lampstand” that is mentioned is called the Menorah, which has seven branches and gave light to the Holy Place. The number “seven” stands for perfection. There are seven days of the week; seven colors of the rainbow; seven notes to the diatonic scale and seven continents.
Isaiah the prophet says that the Messiah has the “Seven Spirits”: “The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord”, cf. 11:2. This is of course the Holy Spirit of God. And the Holy Spirit rested upon Jesus when He ministered on earth, as recorded in the gospels, who is the Light of the World. Therefore in heaven there is “no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb,” cf. Revelation 21:23; and the Lamb is the Son of God, Jesus the Messiah!
Without Him we remain in darkness. Today He speaks to you saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life,” cf. John 8:12.
