Why should we learn hebrew? Perhaps because it is a language that has been miraculously revived after it had ceased to be spoken for two millennia. Or maybe we should learn hebrew because its really not that hard, and the books that I offer for English and Spanish readers also include an easy to follow phonetic guide. Why learn hebrew? Because it is the language that God chose to speak to His people through His written word; it is the language the prophets used to proclaim, “Thus says the LORD God.” And although the New Testament was not written in Hebrew but in Greek, believers in the Messiah will greatly benefit from learning Hebrew in order to deepen their understanding of Jewish roots.
